Birthdays and holidays are always filled with lots of fun and excitement, but there are always ways to turn up that excitement! Celebrate with a Just Add Color Party Box and bring your party to life in a colorful way. Now mind you it is a rather messy way, but the fun to be had by getting the Just Add Color party box to your next birthday will be worth it.
Have you ever been to one of the color races? Well, the Just Add Color party box is like doing one of those, minus the running(unless you REALLY want to run). You can order individual 5 lb bags of color and the supplies or get one big box valued at $125 for just $75. My daughter just turned 9 and we had just a couple of friends spend the night. Honestly the older they get the less I want to have big parties so we go for more intimate and special parties for them.
I bought some white shirts for the kids to wear, because that is the best way you will see the color. I let them decorate their shirts before we started so they would know whose shirt was whose after I washed them. It also helps fill your time before the big color party happens. Fabric markers are an easy way to let them decorate. While they were decorating, I went outside to set up the color fun. It is recommended to use the color powders in an open field. Our backyard is a decent size so we just did it out there since there were only 4 kids, but you do need to be wary of your neighbors houses if you do this at your own home.
After filling the included "paint brushes" with the colored powder, which by the way is food coloring and cornstarch, the kids went to town spraying color on themselves, each other, and having a blast running around. I recommend having a funnel to fill the bottles and other things you use to spread the color love.
This party kit can be used in so many ways for so much fun from cool photos, birth announcements, and more. I am going to use some of the leftover color to do some cool canvas paintings. Just Add Color is adding in some fun new options for different holidays and more colors of the color powder. We cleaned up the backyard with just the hose in minutes and the kids took showers after we were done. The shirts were washed, but not all the color came out of them. It helped make each child's shirt unique to them.
The kids had a blast and I liked that it was a new and unique way to celebrate a birthday. It sure was a whole lot cheaper than taking them out somewhere to have fun! We did it all from home and it created some wonderful memories.
